KULA, founded by Asha Wheeldon in 2018, was born from a passion for food and a mission to foster cultural connections through plant-based cuisine. Inspired by her roots in Isiolo, Kenya, where food was central to community, and influenced by her journey through Toronto and Vancouver, Asha recognized a gap in culturally diverse, plant-based options in the industry. KULA seeks to fill that space by offering nourishing food that celebrates diversity and creates inclusive spaces for sharing and connection.

For the South Africa Trade Mission 2024, KULA aims to expand its reach and connect with new communities, bringing its unique products to a broader audience. Featuring six products, including three sauces crafted from quality ingredients and three pre-marinated meat alternatives, KULA combines convenience and rich, authentic flavors. Each product invites people to savor a taste of home, wherever that may be.
